The past six weekends I’ve spent traveling to and from Florida and California (multiple times to each state) for two beautiful weddings and celebrations beforehand. Chris and I absolutely love traveling and enjoyed every moment, but there is something so comforting about being home. Saturday I was in Long Island for my best friends bridal shower, but Sunday was a day I would be home.
It was a beautiful day so my sister Paige and I decided to go with our parents to take our baby sister Ivy pumpkin picking for the first time. Ivy is 17 months old and the light of my life. When my parents told me at 26 (and had just gotten engaged days earlier) that I would be a big sister again I was shocked to say the least. I knew this is something they had been wanting for over ten years. When she was born my life changed. I fell in love with this little girl. Having so many people around her that give her so much attention and love, she’s become the center of our family.
Linvilla orchards is a beautiful “Pumpkinland” that I’ve been going to since I was a little girl. That my parents both went to as children. Ivy loved pumpkin picking, playing on the playground, and most of all the hay ride. She was so excited and sat wide eyed as we were driven around the orchards. Upon arrival back to Linvilla we were given marshmallows to roast on a camp fire and hot apple cider. It was the perfect fall day.
