Dress (ON SALE NOW!)
Growing up I spent atleast one weekend a month traveling to New York City with my mom and my grandmother so that they could get their hair done at a salon atop of Bergdorf Goodman. The salon changed hands many times over the years but we always went back.
While they were getting pampered my dad and I would always go across the street to my favorite toy store on earth, FAO Schwarz. The trips we took always make me think back on the beautiful dolls I bought, the huge toy store, but even more so the excitement of Bergorfs. I wondered the store with my mom while she bought bags, shoes, clothes, and make up, only day dreaming that one day I would grow up to be able to buy all the beautiful things she did. New York to me always seemed so glamorous.
I grew up to go to college in Long Island, spending a lot of time in Manhattan. I married my college sweetheart whose family lives in Brooklyn. I worked in the city for a short time my first year out of school. I started my own clothing line and worked with sales representatives in New York and went to retail and wholesale shows like the Coterie and Intermezzo. I had the time of my life while I was a part of the fashion world. Completely in my element and excited by all of the beauty around me. The top of my bucket list had never been crossed off. It was always a dream of mine to attend fashion week.
This year for SS18 I was invited to an event for bloggers and had invites to runway shows both Saturday and Sunday. It was truly everything I hoped it would be. I loved every second of it all. New York is still a second home to me. My husband and I talk about moving back all the time. I can’t wait for next year already.
